SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGY PROGRAM
PROGRAM PURPOSE:
Administer, score and interpret necessary assessments to help determine disabling conditions in accordance with State and Federal regulations, as well as Mountain BOCES policies and procedures.
PROGRAM GOALS:
Participate as members of the special education teams within our assigned districts and share pertinent evaluation information with school personnel, parents, students and agencies, as appropriate.
Help others regarding the development and implementation of effective educational programs for disabled students.
Perform duties associated with those of behavior specialists. Write behavior plans and assist with interventions when deemed appropriate.
Provide direct psychological counseling services to students as specified in the Individual Educational Plans.
Maintain and/or improve assessment skills, as well as strive for continued professional growth.
Demonstrate a commitment to organizational goals and objectives.
Act as a liaison between the Mountain BOCES and the educational community.
PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS:
Mountain BOCES School Psychologists must possess a Masters Degree as a minimum (is this our requirement or the states? We should not specify any requirement above licensure. Could list it as desired if not rquired rahter than a must possess.) and hold or be working toward the appropriate Colorado Department of Education licensure in School Psychology.

FUNDING SOURCES:
Federal funding supplies 21%; local districts within the consortia and ECEA and local funds provide 79%
STAFF INVOLVED:
The Mountain BOCES currently employs eleven School Psychologists.
