WELLSPRING TREATMENT CENTER
PROGRAM PURPOSE:
Wellspring Treatment Center is a Day treatment facility that provides educational, behavioral, and family interventions to sixth through twelfth grade special education students.
PROGRAM GOALS:
To help students develop behaviors and skills necessary to succeed in school, family and community. To prepare students for a successful transition to a less-restrictive educational setting, to help students improve their academic skills consistent with their abilities.
PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS:
Wellspring Treatment students must have a special education disability of SIED and is at-risk for out-of-home placement as determined by the Department of Social Services.
DISTRICTS INVOLVED:
Wellspring serves a 4 district consortia; Aspen District #1, Roaring Fork District RE-1, Garfield District RE-2, and Garfield County District #16.
FUNDING SOURCES:
Funding for Wellspring comes from Per Pupil Operating Revenue from consortia districts that have contracted for seats. Additional funding comes from Garfield County Department of Human Services.
STAFF INVOLVED:
Wellspring has two licensed special education staff, two licensed counselor staff, two support staff and a .5 administrator
