Data Mining and Geographic Information Systems Projects
PROGRAM PURPOSE:
To assist districts in the analysis and reporting of students CSAP assessment results and the implementation of data driven instructional practices.
PROGRAM GOALS:
To provide training and software for data mining student assessment results and to communicate the information using a geographic information system.
PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS:
Windows 2000 or higher based computer system (PC or Macintosh with VPC or Terminal Services) with Microsoft Access or Access Runtime installed for data mining. Or Software for the geographic information system is installed at the Mountain BOCES office.
DISTRICTS INVOLVED:
This consortium is available to all districts in the Mountain BOCES and districts across the state.
FUNDING SOURCES:
Funds are made available through CDE and Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation grants.
STAFF INVOLVED:
Administrators or other interested parties.
